Important win for PSV O16

On Saturday, PSV O16's league match against De Graafschap O16 was scheduled. The Doetinchemers occupy first place in the league table and also won against PSV earlier this season. To play in the champions' pool after the winter break, it was necessary for the O16 to win and they did.

In the first half De Graafschap took the lead, but even before halftime the O16 managed to equalize. Jaivy Lourens passed the ball well to Jamal Gonzaga and the latter shot the ball well in at the first post.

After halftime, PSV secured three points. Lars Putters put the team ahead from a direct free kick and through an own goal the match was decided in favor of the Eindhoveners.

The much-needed three points were in and the O16 now have a prospect of entering the championship pool. The next game is an away match against Fortuna Sittard O16 on Saturday, November 2.
