PSV O19 loses unbeaten status
After six consecutive wins in the league, PSV O19 went to visit Almere City. The team that did not manage to win a match yet this season. On paper, therefore, a match that should be won.
But nothing could be further from the truth. In the first half, PSV O19 took the lead twice thanksizij Sambo. The winger saw the ball disappear through a block into the goal for the 0-1 and just before halftime he headed PSV O19 into the lead for the second time on a pass from Madueke.
In the second half, things went wrong. After just under an hour of play, goalkeeper Delanghe was shown a red card for commenting on the direction. The Belgian disagreed with the referee's decision to award the 2-2. PSV O19 looked like they might get a point out of the match, but five minutes before time Almere made it 3-2. A very unnecessary defeat for Ruud van Nistelrooy's team that retains the lead, but of course would have preferred another win.
In two weeks, PSV O19 can recover when SC Heerenveen visits. This match then begins at 2 p.m. at PSV Campus De Herdgang.
Setup:
Delanghe; Sambo, Kreekels, Vos, Oppegard (88/Pigmans); De Schutter (58/Bodak), Timan (79/Tielemans), Kjolo; Madueke, Van Duivenbooden, Thomas.
