For this Wednesday evening match the boys from Maasgouw came down to the Herdgang. The somewhat older "friends " (fellow villagers) of our own pride "Stan De Man" were planning to give the PSV boys a run for their money. With a whole delegation was turned into the sports park. A quick training session had been scheduled the day before in order to be able to present a strong performance. It had to work.

Armando, still suffering some knee problems, was spared for this encounter.
New recruit Justin Lonwijk was also there and was able to get noticed by trainers and teammates. And whether he did.
After 3 minutes a clever pass from Justin to Steven, (the engine still cold but the turbo always warm) past his opponent, measured cross to Roland and it was 1-0. Maasgouw caught cold.
After 5 minutes nice action Huseyin, pass to Justin and he scores his first goal in the Philips tenue. 2-0. An assist and a goal within the first 5 minutes. Talk about a golden transfer.

After ten minutes first chance for Maasgouw. Free kick in a nice spot but the captain of the visitors shoots wide.
PSV dominates and the visitors can only try to limit the damage. That does not succeed because after a corner kick the ball lands in the foot of Robin and it is 3-0. The first 3 times 20 minutes are over and it is already clear that the D1 of Maasgouw is too small.

The next 20 minutes start and immediately it is 4-0. Pass from Cody to Jordan and he lobs sublimely over the goalkeeper. If there was any hope ...

After an outside foot pass from Cody again to Jordan, Cody gets the ball on a plate from Jordan and it's a piece of cake to score. It is 7-0.
Huseyin also manages to entertain the crowd but sees his trick stopped by the goalkeeper.
Ruud saved his breath for the last 20 minutes. With a clever run from back to front, he sees Cody standing, offers him the opportunity, but "Cood" bangs on the crossbar. The returning ball falls into the foot of Baggio, and the canker fires from just outside the sixteen precisely into the corner. 8-0.
PSV smells the double digits and, after yet another Maasgouw kickoff, immediately opt for pressing forward. That results in panicky defending, Robin intercepts and paints the ball to the head of Jordan. And he only has to nod it in. For those who can still follow, it is 9-0.

The 10-0 follows 1 minute later. The two authors of the 9-0, now switch places and it is now Jordan who passes perfectly on the head of Robin.
The 10-0 is a fact, and now everyone wants to go forward with it and at ball loss, (one minute before the end) in the middle Luc finds himself facing 4 visitors at once, and that is a bit too much even for Luc. Captain Stan, who for the rest of the match had nothing more to do than distribute some return balls, comes out well but cannot prevent the visitors' honorary save.
Final score PSV D3-Maasgouw D1 : 10-1.

After the "Heerenveen" trip last week-end and the glorious victory today, all noses are in the same direction and the dress rehearsal for the 2-day tournament in VCH Blerick went well. Let's hope for another great tournament.
