Today we head for the flatlands of Utrecht, after last week's valley visit, and once again the BBA manages to track down the traffic jam. Because two users of the road tried to test out the guardrail, so we also arrive in Utrecht a little later. Here at the sports park where, at this time of year, many an autumn storm can indulge, we enter the match and offer the opponent a lull in the summer breeze as opposition. There are no signs yet that we have left the valley especially in the first half. We are trounced on many fronts and the FC, given the effort, deservedly takes the lead.
The second half has to be better. And it does get better. Not yet top, but better. We are brighter and more aggressive and are now outplaying our opponents more often and at times are able to pin them down in their own half. Only.... Finishing off the chances. That was the problem in the second half. There are chances but only Steven manages to hit the bar and the rest are still too impure to outsmart their keeper. Men the second half was reasonable. And despite the referee letting the game go on for almost nine minutes in the second half we did not manage to take advantage of this extra opportunity. The FC is overjoyed with the points which, by the way, they can use hard on their way to the left row but we have to be careful in the coming games not to bend too much to the right ourselves.
