PSV D2 and JVOZ D1 shared 1st place in the league until today, both still unbeaten, but JVOZ with more goal difference.
Coach Ron's boys, today were determined to change that. So there would have to be a win!!!

Under a bright autumn sun the match started at 11.30 am.
The first minutes of the game were evenly matched and JVOZ even had a small goal from a free kick.
But after ±10 minutes PSV definitely took control of the match,the first big chance came, after some nice combination football Philippe shot from distance at the crossbar,unfortunately the ball did not turn inwards and went over.
(This bar would show its tough side more often...).
Chance after chance presented itself. An attack via Vincent to Daan, who unfortunately shot straight into the goalkeeper's hands, a free kick from Philippe, which also went straight at the goalkeeper, Yentl who missed the net.
The D2 was eager and wanted to score and JVOZ did not have much to counter. Their attacks were often stopped in the midfield and when they did break through, our defenders stood their ground.
The best chances in the first half came in the last 10 minutes..., but the bar.... Jasper v.H. broke through very strongly, but saw his hard shot go over the bar, Vincent also saw his chance, but the bar again stood in the way.... After 3 corners with 2 good chances for Vincent (header against the keeper) and Jasper v.H (just past), the referee closed the 1st half. With an undeserved 0-0 on the scoreboard,trainer Ron had to give his players a good pep talk at halftime, "just keep going like this, then that goal was bound to come..."

The 2nd half started well for JVOZ, the first 5 minutes they did not give a ball away. Saw a free kick landed via Yanick on the crossbar.
That was also the moment PSV woke up; "Oh yes we still have to score to win...".
Then chance after chance presented itself again!!! A nice pass from Jasper v. H to Daan, who unfortunately met the goalkeeper again. The same Jasper, who after a beautiful solo saw the ball go just past again.... Vincent, Jasper and Philippe repeatedly saw their goal attempts fail.
Then...that last minute, we really saw the ball go over the goal line, didn't we?!!!; In the rebound, Philippe against the crossbar, Yentl against the goalkeeper, Vincent was on the ball like a chicken, when the goalkeeper let go of the ball for a moment, and the ball rolled over the line!!! 1-0 !!!?
But the joy was short-lived, because the referee decided otherwise; according to him, the goalkeeper was holding the ball and Vincent should not have gone through... But surely the ball had to have been loose to roll over the goal line????? Disappointment and discussion all around.
A nice cross from Jasper to Vincent could have decided the game,but that big goalkeeper was in the way again....
And so this top match remained undecided.
