F1 also champion on last day of competition
After the championship of the F2 last week, the F1 also won the championship at the last minute.
In an excellent last league game direct competitor Bladella E3 was defeated 7-2. Earlier this competition the boys lost 3-2 after a good, but unfortunate match.
This time the title was at stake and with a lot of effort, good play and nice goals the boys made sure they won the match.
The F1 started playing in the E-competition after the winter break to get some more opposition. And they got that. A few weeks ago, PSV no longer had it in their own hands to become champions. Due to narrow losses against both SBC and Bladella, both those teams were above PSV. Fortunately, there was WVVZ who were having a strong 2nd half of the competition. First they defeated SBC, then they took a draw against Bladella. The championship battle was back in full swing.
In the beautiful Easter weekend on Saturday SBC and Bladella played each other and PSV played WVVZ. Because PSV and Bladella won, the final match between these teams became a real championship match on Easter Monday.
The joy was great afterwards. Some boys had already become champions at their old club, for others this was their first championship. One player wanted to swallow his tears of joy in peace before he also threw himself into spraying the children's champagne and the lap of honor with medals around his neck.
Trainer Willem unfortunately could not be there, he was with the D2 at a tournament. Therefore, just like last week, trainer Rick was the lucky one who could celebrate this championship with all the F-boys in the shower.
Afterwards there were delicious French fries in the canteen for the boys, while parents and other fans on the sun-drenched terrace of the Herdgang celebrated the boys' championship and the end of the competition of the first PSV year.
