    The report

Saturday's match was an important one against higher-ranked NAC from Breda. With four games to go, PSV O19 is not yet assured of placing among the top eight teams on the league table, which entitles them to the champions' pool.

PSV already created a number of opportunities in the first few minutes, a shot by Mohammed Ihattaren ending up in the hands of the goalkeeper and a header from Yorbe Vertessen were the first pinpricks PSV dealt out to the team from Breda. It was Dennis Vos who reached the free Ihattaren with a great diagonal pass. He accelerated past his opponent and saw Mathias Kjolo standing free on the back line. The Norwegian did not hesitate and shot the 1-0 in the eighteenth minute. NAC came out very dangerous now and then, but it did not result in a goal against yet. It was the quick Nigel Thomas who slipped past his opponent and delivered a perfect pass to Kjolo. With a controlled shot he put the home team ahead 2-0 in the 27th minute. Shortly thereafter, after a good interception, the ball came to Ihattaren, who accelerated past NAC's defenders and left the goalkeeper defenseless in the 36th minute, scoring PSV's third goal. In the 40th minute Kyan van Dorp had to come into action three times, with some great reflexes he kept his goal clean and PSV went to rest with a large lead.

After halftime, it was Thomas who shot into the hands of the goalkeeper from the sixteen-yard line. With another beautiful pass from Dennis Vos, this time to Thomas, who controlled the ball in the air. That laid the ball nicely ready for the Vertessen who ran along. The PSV striker shot into the far corner. In the 62nd minute, PSV O19 took an even bigger lead. After this, PSV and NAC had a few more small opportunities. But the final score came on the scoreboard in the 80th minute. A free kick on the edge of the penalty area left van Dorp hopeless. Ruud van Nistelrooy's boys win 4-1 and take three very important points.

Wednesday, November 28, PSV will play for the Youth League against FC Barcelona. The match starts at 2 p.m. at De Herdgang and admission is free.
