Match report:
A battered PSV knocked Willem II out of the cup tournament and at the same time qualified for the next round. An exciting match unfolded on the artificial turf of ONS VIOS. Willem II played - as always - with a lot of physicality, fight and running ability. However, this trip PSV did not step aside. In the 10th minute, Willem II was very close to the opening goal after a sloppiness by PSV in the build-up to the game, but the PSV goalie sublimely prevented a certain goal. Willem II had a slight field advantage, but PSV struck mercilessly at the right moments with very nice goals. Willem II only then became dangerous with dead game moments, such as corner kicks. A concentrated PSV did not give away any chances in the second half and thus earned a deserved and certainly not flattered victory over Willem II. Next week the second half of the league starts with a home game against JVOZ. PSV lost the first game against JVOZ in Vlissingen with 3-2 and thus still has a score to settle with this team.
