PSV B1 also played a cup game on Saturday. At the Herdgang they took on the amateurs of Zeeburgia. The Amsterdam juniors played quite well in the first half, but it was clear from the start which team would go through in the cup. The Amsterdam juniors' offside trap faltered at times. First Youness Mokhtar seemed to take advantage of this, but in the end that attack was still repelled. Not much later Wouter Smeets was able to break through on the left side of the pitch. He kept the overview and passed the ball to Engin Bekdemir. The ball was controlled and PSV took a 1-0 lead at halftime. After halftime, PSV hardly got into trouble and it was substitute Gianluca Maria who made it 2-0. In the next round, PSV B1 will take on the B2 of FC Twente/Heracles.
