PSV A1 traveled to the far north for a cup match. FC Groningen was the opponent. Just like last week in Alkmaar, PSV was supreme in the first half. Yannick Rymenants deservedly scored the first goal. During this half the lead could certainly have been extended to 0-4 if the chances were not taken.

During the first ten minutes of the second half, PSV was again better than Groningen's A-team which eventually resulted in a goal by Nasser el Khayati. Then PSV slumped and Groningen had several chances for a counter goal. The ratio of corners between Groningen and PSV became quite unbalanced but our goalkeeper managed to hold on. With the 2-0 victory PSV A1 continues. In the next round they meet FC Den Bosch A1.
