  1. Match report

Match number 4. Out of FC Utrecht. As always a difficult and charged match. After last Wednesday's disgrace we have something to put right today.
And like Wednesday we had a day of not quite or not at all, today is a day of quite. Driven and motivated we enter the match. The plan we want to execute is executed. There is no one failing now. Everyone is doing their thing and in what a way. It all makes a splash. Utrecht is totally unable to get into the game. We went into the break with a score of 0 - 0 but that was more due to the fact that the FC goalkeeper had a couple of great saves in store. After the break we picked up the thread and continued as we had done in the first half. Mike has to make an appearance now but does this as we know him, just fine.
Len comes closest to a goal but again the goalkeeper is at his post. Then Gianluca is there to open the scoring but the awarded penalty is missed in the first team line. But now the heads do not go down and a minute later it is the same Gianluca who with a sublime ball lays the ball ready for Justin who passes the goalkeeper in the long corner. The deserved 0 -1 is on the board. Then this is also the moment that the referee puts an important stamp on the game and just before the final whistle, he interrupts an advantage situation and lets Fc utrecht continue playing with ten men and therefore does not award the goal we scored. Too bad. In the 90th minute the creator of the first goal Justin is the passer and now it is Bertalan who puts us at 0 - 2. The tension is now completely off. Utrecht also gets a second red card but this is no longer important for this match.
Men we enjoyed ourselves on the line and on the bench. So you see that in the space of three days we showed two faces. And I must say we like that second face a lot better.
Next week we go back in time with the trip to FC Rostov. This Youth League match is also crucial for us. Good luck.
Mr. Art also congratulations on the temporary new job at the KNVB.
And as shown again after Wednesday: Without valleys you can't enjoy the peaks.
    Goodbye.
