Today we played again on Wednesday night. At 6 p.m. we had to play at the Herdgang against FC Eindhoven. A tough opponent with a lot of physical strength. Joost was absent today and one of our goalkeepers, Peter, was injured. Lander Aerts, a goalkeeper from the E, replaced him.
We started the match brightly and Mohammed Ihattaren and Jur immediately had great chances. In the third minute Mohammed Ihattaren scored after an assist from Mohammed Nassoh. 1-0. A few minutes later it was Heritier who doubled the score. Within 5 minutes we were already ahead 2-0. If we continued like this, it was going to be a goal-fest tonight. And this was going to happen. We went to rest with a 4-2 lead. Mohammed Nassoh and Mohammed Ihattaren scored. Because we played sloppy we got two more goals against. We certainly didn't play great but we were ahead 4-2.
In the second half it continued happily. After these 25 minutes of play it was 7-3 in Eindhoven's favor. Mohammed Nassoh from a penalty and twice Mohammed Ihattaren scored the goals. Eindhoven were not playing strong at the back and we managed to take advantage of that. We were a lot better at the back. We scored a lot again but unfortunately had one against as well.
Where would this end? With a 12-6 victory for PSV! They scored 18 goals at the Herdgang. In the third half Luuk, Nigel, Heritier and twice Genrich scored. In the third half Lander played his first minutes on the big field. He held his own handsomely.
What a game today! We certainly didn't show our best game but we scored and won a lot. Next Saturday we will not play a game. The next game is on May 4, away against VVV. This is our last game before the play offs.
