After a week of rest we went to visit FC Eindhoven today. Two weeks ago we won from this team 5-4.
We started the game strongly. FC Eindhoven did not get the ball and we created chances. It was Heritier who managed to score after ten minutes. After a nice slalom he popped the ball in convincingly. 0-1. After that Jur and Mohammed Ihattaren missed great chances for 0-2. In the 25th minute it was still Jur who scored. Heritier gave the pass and Jur shot with his left into the roof of the goal. 0-2. FC Eindhoven had no chance because our defense stood like a house. Unfortunately it was only 0-2, this could have been more already.
We tried to maintain this level in the second half. Unfortunately it all went a bit more difficult. We still had the upper hand but we did not really get any big chances. Yet it was Mohammed Ihattaren who managed to score. One on one with the goalkeeper he made no mistake. 0-3. FC Eindhoven now also got chances but Robin made sure twice that we did not get a goal against.
In the third half we quickly got a goal against. 1-3. FC Eindhoven took more risks and hoped for more. FC Eindhoven took more risks and hoped for more. Heritier used his speed in a counter and missed, but it was Mohammed Ihattaren who shot his second of the morning in the rebound. 1-4. Today we showed that we have more quality than FC Eindhoven. We dominated the game and we could have scored more. On Wednesday we play an exhibition match against Swindon Town and next Saturday we have to play VVV at home.
