Under harsh temperatures the topper was played today in Rosmalen against OJC who are highly ranked in the league table. Immediately after kickoff, both sides played with high tempo and good field play. After five minutes PSV got their first chance. On a pass from Dylan, Joris was put free in front of the goalkeeper. Unfortunately Joris shot just wide. After 8 minutes PSV got the deserved lead. Joris gave the ball to Tim who with a bounce shot put the ball in the corner 0-1. Immediately after the kick-off it was almost equal again but fortunately the ball was shot imprecisely. After about fifteen minutes the OJC defense made a mistake. A return ball that was played too softly was intercepted by Joris and he shot the 0-2. Three minutes later, OJC did something back. A misunderstanding between two PSV players allowed OJC to intercept the ball and counter quickly. After the ball was put wide, OJC was able to surprise our goalkeeper with a nice curve ball 1-2. Even before the halftime signal, PSV had two opportunities to extend the score. Unfortunately these chances were not taken and OJC kept their eyes on a good result.

After halftime both sides continued to play at a high level. After four minutes the PSV defense could not get rid of the ball and OJC was able to take advantage of this. A hard and high shot put the ball in the far corner 2-2. After 35 minutes PSV took the lead again. From a smooth combination Mats was able to break through on the left. With a bounce shot into the far corner he left the goalkeeper defenseless 2-3. About 10 minutes later Gioele played a long pass to Mats who could only go for the goalkeeper. With a slider he shot the ball 2-4. After that OJC did everything they could to score, but they were not lucky. In the final minute Jesse determined the final score of this thriller. From a corner kick by Gioele, Jesse was free to head in 2-5.

Both PSV and OJC played fantastic this match. And the referee played a great game. That should also be said. Compliments to everyone. A deserved victory for PSV.
