Record score for F1 (E3)


After last week's home victory over Geldrop, PSV E3 had to visit DBS today, Ruud's old club. The same Ruud and also Cody joined a bit later because they first played with E2 in Boxtel against ODC (1 goal Ruud and 2 by Cody!).
PSV really started the match furiously. With great teamwork and individual performances the DBS goal was put under fire. After James had hit the post with a punt, it was Jordan who, on a pass from James, scored the 0-1. His shot disappeared into the top left corner. Shortly after, the ever-zealous Ruud scored the 0-2 against his old buddies. The keeper let his high shot slip through his fingers.

The PSV players kept a good eye on each other and this way Ruud put Luc in position: 0-3
At the 0-4, James once again showed his great value for the team. Merijn plays to him near his own goal. James sees his buddy Bjorn standing and shouts that he wants to pass the ball. As James is well paced by the DBS defense, he repeatedly fails to see a chance to make the final pass. Until finally he reaches the back line from where he puts the ball back. Bjorn only has to put his foot against it.

The same Bjorn was again attentive when the goalkeeper failed to hold a hard shot by Luc: 0-5.
With this score, the PSV players thought it was time to treat the spectators to a few technical feats. First, it was Baggio who tried to pop a cross in with an overhead kick. Moments later it was James who almost managed to cash in on a corner kick. Unfortunately it was not a goal, but at least it looks great on the photo!

The last part of the first half was almost solo for Jordan. Through 2 shots with the left and a great poke into the top left corner, it was suddenly 0-8. A flawless hat trick! The final chord of the first half was for Baggio, who scored on a pass from Luc. Half-time score 0-9. An exceptional first half!

The second half offered less spectacle (partly due to the positive defense of DBS, and the brave goalkeeper). Still, PSV managed to score 9x again. Cody also registered a hat trick (solo, on a pass from Bjorn and via a direct free kick).
Jordan had a taste of scoring today and managed to find the net twice more (0-13 and 0-16 via marker!). In between there was an own goal (Bjorn's shot changed direction) and a goal by Ruud. Robin also scored in a nice way. His long-range shot disappeared behind the line via the underside of the crossbar. The last goal of the day was scored by Baggio. While everyone had their eyes on Pepijn, who came forward, Baggio scored with his head after several attempts.
