The winter break is over again for the boys of PSV U13, that does not mean that they have been doing nothing all the time. No certainly not, part of the group has played an indoor tournament in France before Christmas, with a 4th place, the other players have the first weekend of the new year participated in an indoor tournament in Delfzijl with also a neat 4th place, and last week the whole group went to Alkmaar for a quadruple with a region team, FC Twente and AZ, here was a game won, 1 draw and 1 lost. And then today the league resumed with a tricky away game against NAC in Breda.

Again it is clear that there is a lot of physical resistance, the average height in Breda is 10 centimeters taller than at PSV with some peaks of 30 centimeters, so the boys will again have to rely on their football skills. PSV immediately shows that they want to go back to Eindhoven with a good result today, they immediately start to play good football, only NAC allows this up to the 16 meters and then it's over, so the field play is good but no chances. In the 9th minute Ruben seems to be through after a nice cross from Mo but unfortunately the NAC keeper is just in time. Still it is NAC that scores first, from their first corner it is an immediate hit 1-0. PSV puts more pressure but struggles to create chances, almost it is Deveron,
but he doesn't get it right, and in the rebound it's Mylian who kicks over. Also a ball from Deveron just wide, and a shot from Mo that the NAC keeper turns away with a brilliant reflex, so the chances are there but no goals for PSV yet, but if the boys keep playing like this, it should be good in the 2nd half.

In the second half the same picture as in the first half, a better playing PSV, small chances but a good and sturdy defending NAC, that keeps looking for a quick break. In the 44th minute it is finally a winner after a nice cross from Mo to Deveron, the NAC goalkeeper has no other option than to grab Deveron. The rightful penalty is a piece of cake for Mo to tap in, 1-1. After this equalizer the match becomes a real Brabant derby, 2 teams who want to win, and occasionally forget to defend, so the goalkeepers can distinguish themselves with good goalkeeping, and the attackers show to be not quite sharp today, but a nice and exciting fight is certainly, but there are no more goals so it remains 1-1. All in all a good game for PSV U13 with good field play, lots of commitment only the goals were lacking. Next week the home match against Fortuna Sittard at 11:00 at the Herdgang.
