An English week does not suit the A1.
After another tiring week, with the trip to London, it is as if we are not coping well with the trip to Heerenveen either and we start the match as we often do, far too weak. After only 25 sec Heerenveen gets a chance in front of an empty goal but they shoot wide. Relieved breathe on the bench, how is this possible, and don't say there was no warning. But don't worry nothing has happened yet. But then after 1 minute and 5 sec. A ball is put wide and lo and behold, there is the Heerenveen player again and now it is 1 - 0. We try to pick up the thread and after 11 minutes we make another mistake and the 2 - 0 is a fact. To end the first half Heerenveen put the 3-0 on the board in the 18th minute. So halftime score 3 - 0.
In the second half we want to change the game (as the saying goes so well) and we also get chances, well actually chances. But unfortunately the aim of our forwards is not sharp. And so we miss the chances for a considerably better score. There was a small revival when Alexander made it 3 - 1, but just after that it was Heerenveen again that made it three goals and the final score was 4 - 1. And as we said at the beginning, this English week did not bring us much pleasure/success. Next week we will really have to change our ways to get a positive result, as the derby against FC Den Bosch is on the schedule. So there is a clean task for the trainers this week to clear our heads and show that we can do it.
