PSV O15 only plays matches this season against teams from North Holland. Next Saturday AZ comes to De Herdgang and on this Tuesday night they played against FC Volendam. A bit unusual, but due to various circumstances both teams have not met before. On this day, the teams faced each other at the Volendam stadium. Volendam is having a surprisingly good season, finishing in fifth place.

The first chances were for PSV. Mylian Jimenez tried with a shot from outside the sixteen. And moments later, PSV put on a fine one-two with Dylan Hopman and Milan van de Riet, after which Milan shot hard wide. After 12 minutes it was almost FC Volendam that took the lead when for a moment it seemed like Comedy Capers in the Eindhoven goal area with no PSV player taking decisive action. With some fortune, the ball eventually went over. Yet a few minutes in, the home side did hit the target. And again, hesitant action at the back was the basis of the goal. PSV recovered well, however, and almost scored the equalizer within a minute. But unfortunately Dylan's cross just failed to reach a PSV player. PSV still created a number of chances until halftime, but Milan had little luck in finishing and bumped into the fine Volendam goalkeeper several times. Jasper Huijzer also saw his shot turned away by the keeper. The biggest chance was just before halftime for Iggy Houben, who also hit the post.

After halftime, most of the game played out in the home team's half. PSV dictated the game and Volendam lurked on the counter. The Eindhoven team created a number of fine attacks, but it was either just off the mark or a Volendam goalkeeper who prevented the equalizer. After Jules Janssen saved well on a shot from close range in the 51st minute, PSV deservedly came alongside a minute later. After a good move by Iggy, the ball ended up at the feet of Dyon Dorenbosch, who took a hard shot and saw it drop in via the inside of the post: 1-1. After the equalizer Edwin de Wijs' team had a few more chances and opportunities to take the win, but each time it just didn't work out. In the penultimate minute the Volendam players were not very well organized and a Volendam player was able to cross the field almost unchallenged to lay the ball wide at the last moment so that the left-winger could score the winning goal.

With that, PSV got too little and could start the journey back to the South again without points.
