  1. Match report

Head off in the E competition

Today the first official game in the E-competition for the F1 which now goes through life as E3 of PSV. Joost unfortunately could not participate yet after a severe flu, but did come to watch in Son. Afterwards, he gave his analysis as input for the report.

'We had to play against SBC E3. The opponents were big, but not as big as what we have practiced against before. Maybe you also just get more used to it. The F1 today was Robin, big Mo, Thomas, Nigel, Djurre, Mathijs, Jaydee and Jeremy. I guess it wasn't cold to play football, but if you looked, you did get cold feet quickly. At the beginning of the first half things went right away. It was soon 3-0 for us. But after that it went a little less well. Sometimes not everyone was paying attention and some chose a little odd solutions.

When it was halftime, it was 3-2 for us. Oh yes, 2-3. I don't know what trainer Willem said at halftime. I wasn't there. But I think he did say that they had to play with more pace. After halftime it went much better again. Some still did a bit much themselves sometimes. But fortunately this was not the case all the time because the passing game was often played well. Most of the goals came from nice combinations.

We won 9-2. I think that result is correct.
The best goal was the very first one by Djurre from the left and then diagonally into the corner, under the crossbar.
It was fun to watch once because then the game looks different. But next time I'd rather just play again.'
