The report
Quick, one of the largest football clubs in the Netherlands, was a guest at Herdgang on Saturday with their O13 team for the league match against PSV O13. For this club of course it is great to play in this league. But as expected, PSV was too big and the points stayed in Eindhoven. The score was only 4-0, whereas it could have been much higher if all chances had been taken.
Always difficult for the players of a BVO to play against top amateurs. A win is expected on the name alone, but these amateurs just play in the same league so will really have something to offer. Coach Tim Wolf has therefore warned his team against overestimating. If PSV just tackles the opponent as always, there is no problem, but woe betide if they think we will do that. Then a big problem can arise. But already from the kickoff it is clear that our boys want to win today. From the first corner of the day in the 5th minute they hit the ball straight away. Emir Bars puts the ball well in front of the goal. Quick managed to save, but Renzo Tytens was the first to slide the ball in on the rebound. In the 18th minute follows a great chance for Michon Roelofs, Michon misses, but once again it is Renzo who is first to arrive and scores. Thanks to PSV's many missed chances, the Hagenezen reach the break with the 2-0 score.
At halftime, the coach indicated that if you want to completely destroy the opponent, the pace will have to be much faster. After the whistle for the 2nd half, the siege continues immediately. Tim van de Heuvel opens with a great shot on goal. But the goalkeeper's save is of equal quality. Two minutes later it is PSV striker Michon Roelofs who is brought down in the penalty area. "Penalty" Michon shoots this ball clear and unstoppable for the goalkeeper: 3-0. PSV continues to try to extend the score further, but cannot get the ball in. As before halftime, the game played out on one half and PSV dominated. Still, we have to wait until the last minute for the fourth goal. Renzo gets the ball played to him by Arthur Pietfort in the penalty area. Renzo again passes his opponent and from an almost impossible angle, shoots the ball full into the roof of the goal. A 4-0 win, nothing given away so the result was good. Too bad the result was not higher. The opportunities were there.
Next week in Nijmegen they can expect more resistance, as N.E.C. O13 will be the opponent. Here they can show again if they can follow it up well.
