    The report

Today the away game against FC Emmen was on the schedule. we first had to get a long bus ride of two and a half hours behind us and when we got there a field cross was going on. Also always nice to see, but of course that is not what we came for.

The match started, PSV immediately took the initiative to make the game. FC Emmen played with a deep striker, who kept trying to disrupt our build-up and the home team also kept dropping back on their own half. We wanted to keep it compact and always tilted across the axis of the field from left to right, so we could take advantage of that. In the beginning it was difficult, but as the game progressed it got better and better and we had more chances to get to the back line and crosses. But every time there was an FC Emmen player between them.

FC Emmen started playing more and more long balls forward in the hope that PSV would make a mistake. And so it happened in the 56th minute. We were all in the FC Emmen half and they played the long ball. A home player headed the ball over the PSV defender, allowing the striker to shoot directly at goal: 1-0. PSV put even more pressure and showed they could and still wanted to win the match. In the 68th minute Yorbe Vertessen tapped in the 1-1. PSV stepped up the pressure and FC Emmen had nothing left to play for. Damien Timan shot PSV into the lead in the 83rd minute via a long-distance shot: 1-2. But the win did not come, because FC Emmen scored the 2-2 from a corner in injury time.
