    PSV O13 spoils Rotterdam party

PSV O13 had to travel to Rotterdam on Saturday, for a league match against Feyenoord O13. Feyenoord could become champions, but they had to win against PSV. Despite the good mutual relationship, it is still nice to be able to postpone a party. So the PSV players were optimally motivated for the match. It would be a match with totally two different portions. But by the 1-1 final score, the PSV plan had succeeded. Feyenoord will be the rightful champion, but not against PSV.

Feyenoord O13 started the match brightly and pressed PSV far back in their own half. Soon there were several chances for the Rotterdammers. But about the smallest man on the pitch, PSV goalkeeper Harm Sigmans was in great form today. Beautiful saves, less beautiful but solid, no Harm became a big obstacle for Feyenoord. And also it was still PSV who managed to score first. In the 20th minute PSV intercepted the ball, Michon Roelofs was able to run straight to the Feyenoord goal. The Feyenoord goalkeeper came very far out of his goal, Michon saw this and with a nice bow he managed to get the ball into the goal. Against the odds, PSV took the lead. Six minutes later the Rotterdammers equalized by scoring from a corner. After Feyenoord missed a few more chances, the referee whistled for half-time.

At halftime coach Tim Wolf, made it clear that PSV were making it far too easy for Feyenoord, this had to change in the second half. The players had picked up these words well. So we got to see a completely different PSV after halftime. Fighting for every inch of ground, even at times they came back to playing football. The game went up and down quickly, but neither side got any further than the sixteen-meter area. Because of the tension, it was a wonderful battle to watch. And the set goal was achieved, Feyenoord is not yet a champion.

After the match, then, compliments to PSV. Even Pascal Jansen came to tell the boys that he was proud of them to stay upright with such a second half, in the lion's den. Feyenoord will still be the rightful champions, but not against PSV.
