In the PSV player bus the trip went to Twente to play against the FC. During the long trip it turned out that the boys all got through Carnival well and even scored a few goals during those football-less days. So you would think that will come good again today.
The first twenty minutes of the match, however, proved not to be the case. FC Twente had PSV completely in its grip and PSV already trailed 1-0 in the tenth minute. Towards the end of the first half PSV started to play a little better and got some good chances, but at those moments Twente was dangerous again in the counter.
At halftime some changes were made and the second half seemed to start better. In the 5th minute PSV got to 1-1 when Mees tapped the ball in at the first post from a corner.
In the 14th minute Twente took the lead again when five PSV players were not enough to stop a single Twente player.
A few minutes later, PSV managed to come alongside again. A free kick was headed in at the far post by Shurandy. Twente remained the better team but did not get what they deserved, partly because Jurre managed to stop two 1 on 1 situations in the last minute.
Next year maybe we should score some more goals after the Carnival boys.
