  1. Match report

What could be better for an 11-year-old player to play in a real stadium. Today, PSV's players had the honor of playing in Seacom stadium de Koel in Venlo. The only downside was actually that the stadium was not sold out!!!!!!!!!
After last week's disappointing game against Helmond Sport O12, PSV had the opportunity to show that they can play good football.
Right from the first minute the players showed that they wanted to play a good game today, good football, finding each other easily and enough work and eagerness to want the ball. Unfortunately this good phase lasted only about 10 minutes, then they started to regularly repeat the same mistakes they made in the previous game, too little movement without the ball, wanting to find the depth too quickly and not enough of the simple football they are so good at.
Although it took 5 minutes before VVV crossed the center line for the first time, the first big chance was for VVV, fortunately the boys from Venlo could not find the right direction either.

Mylian delivered a good cross to Joris in the 15th minute, for Joris the VVV goalkeeper was still in the way, he worked the ball well to the side, but there was Joey well inside and very controlled the ball hit the net 0-1.

1 minute later the VVV defense made a mistake in the back and the ball ended up at the feet of Martijn, we know that Martijn knows what to do with such chances so after the 0-1 the 0-2 was soon on the scoreboard.

VVV got a great chance from a corner in the 20th minute, but with hands and feet they prevented VVV from scoring.

Just before half time Mylian gave a corner ball to Joep, who passed his opponent and gave a perfect cross to Gioele, who controlled the ball into the goal and Gioele also scored.

So they could go to rest with a 0-3 lead, on paper it seems to go very easily but VVV gave quite a counter now and then, but the defense had everything under control today. The lesser points were pointed out by the coach and the players promised improvement.

In the second half the boys showed that they could play simple football combined with the will to have the ball. In the 34th minute Lander managed to keep his goal clean with a good and stylish save.

After a good action by Joep in the 38th minute the ball came back into the field via the VVV goalkeeper, Tim did not hesitate for a moment and with a beautiful shot it became 0-4, and the most beautiful goal of the day was also scored....
After another phase of good football Dylan saw his shot end up in the side netting.
After Lander made another good save there was a quick breakaway, unfortunately the final pass was just a little too hard, but the intention to get out quickly was certainly there.

In the 55 minute Dylan did score, coming in very well at a corner and finishing in a very controlled manner 0-5.

Martijn was 2 minutes before the final whistle at the end of an attack that ran over many sections and as we are used to Martijn scored. 0-6.
All in all the boys can look back on a reasonable game, not yet the constant desired level but with some regularity it was certainly enjoyable good football. Next Saturday MVV is the opponent and the boys will have to continue the upward trend that started today. The public is of course always welcome to enjoy these boys.
