Last Wednesday we won against Roda JC at the Herdgang. Today we played this team again at Sportpark Kaalheide in Kerkrade. If we won today we would do well in the play-offs.
We started the first half strongly. The ball went around nicely on the artificial turf and within ten minutes Luuk managed to score. A cross from Niek ended at the second post where Luuk stood and shot the ball into the short corner from about ten meters. 0-1. We continued our good play and became dangerous in front of the Limburg goal. After 22 minutes of play Mohammed Ihattaren finally shot the 0-2. From about twenty meters he fired an impeccable shot. The defense stood like a house today as well, we gave no chances away.
In the second half things were a little more difficult. We didn't play badly, but we didn't get any big chances. Roda JC was not strong enough to get us into trouble. So in the second half no goals were scored and we went to rest with a 0-2 lead.
We had to hold this lead in the third half. We did. Roda JC was not dangerous anymore and we even managed to score in the last second. It was again Mohammed Ihattaren who scored. After a nice solo he shot the ball diagonally into the crossbar. 0-3.
Today we played well. Especially in the first and third half we showed that we are better than Roda JC. The defense played flawlessly and in front we always score. On Sunday we play a mini-tournament at the Herdgang against Jonger Oranje and FC Twente and on Wednesday we play for the play-offs at home against FC Eindhoven.
