The first league match after winter sports, on a bleak day with lots of wind and rain predicted. PSV D2 was ready for it, at least the team proved that last week against FC Zwolle. Now it was Nuenen D1's turn to try to take points away from PSV. The physically big Nuenen players held on well for 15 minutes, then Rai called it a day. From a neatly taken free kick on the edge of the sixteen he opened the score. Shortly after, Endy with a rush left the entire Nuenen defense completely standing and scored the 2-0 for PSV in a controlled manner. A well combining PSV put the opponents under good pressure and despite the wind in their favor on the Nuenen side, the opposition did not get further than a few shots on goal. From a corner Rai scored again. It was clearly his day as a beautiful move put him in position to score his 3rd and PSV's 4th goal. A beautiful dribble by Endy, in which he completely fooled his opponent three times, made it 5-0 at halftime. In the break, Niels again warned the team to keep playing easy and look for space. Probably due to the pressure PSV exerted, slowly but surely these spaces were closed. Yet it was Michael who scored the 6-0 with a beautiful pingel. Some actions that gave Nuenen the chance to score were brilliantly parried by Jeroen. The final chord was for Jordy, who had taken the left-back position after halftime. A brilliant action by Gino on the left flank up to the back line easily put Jordy in position for the 7-0. The dessert was yet to come, a free kick from 27.5 meters was taken full on the slipper by Jordy and determined the final score to 8-0.
Boys, trainers and coaches congratulations!
