  1. Match report

The last match of the first round of play is scheduled today. The last opponent in the 1st series is FC Den Bosch D2, an opponent of their own age. On the PSV side 3 absentees, and therefore Sekou was passed on from the D3 who had already impressed at the training sessions and mutual matches against the D3. Last Thursday we saw a training session with high level positional play, now see if this can be continued in the match. From the kickoff, PSV's intentions are clear. PSV wants to dominate and does so. From the start, the game is played well and the free man is found every time. Den Bosch follows PSV from the beginning. It does not take long, about four minutes to be precise, when the 1-0 is scored. With the help of the Den Bosch defense, Sekou gains possession of the ball and slides it past the goalkeeper. A minute later a long ball goes past the PSV rearguard who misjudges a Den Bosch player running back from offside. However, another player runs off with the ball and leaves Kyan without a chance. PSV is knocked out of the game and needs some time to recover from this setback. After ten minutes or so, Greg was whistled back for offside, so the goal did not happen. A minute later Greg could have put PSV in the lead again. Well played in by Sem he passed his opponent, but in front of the goalkeeper he shot too weakly. PSV has picked up the good play and with short combinations Den Bosch is tapped away. In the 18th minute such a combination leads to a corner kick. The ball reaches Sekou and with the help of a Den Bosch player the ball falls in. PSV is now getting well loose. Two minutes later, a cross from Joop reaches Sem who, on the turn at the side of the 16 meters, puts the ball in the far corner. A beautiful goal that brings the score to 3-1. Den Bosch deals a few pinpricks, but apart from a good opportunity in the 20th minute this does not really lead to danger. PSV counter this with two good opportunities for Sem and Greg. A fourth PSV goal comes after all. After a nice PSV attack Joop is the end station and he scores the 4-1 from a difficult angle. Just before halftime the game was decided when again a nice PSV attack with Sem as handler was completed by Arne. The score was a surprising but not undeserved 5-1 at halftime, which made a young Den Bosch supporter say that if this continues it will be 10-1. After the break, the initial phase is the same. PSV continues to combine well. In the 3rd minute a nice pass from Davy puts Mo free in front of the goalkeeper, but he waits just too long for the goalkeeper to save. A minute later the ball was saved at the other end. A cross ball goes over the PSV defense and a Den Bosch player leaves Edson without a chance. PSV reacts immediately. A pass from Davy puts Arne free in front of the goalkeeper and from the edge of the box he skilfully finishes the ball, bringing the margin back to 4 goals with a score of 6-2. PSV is particularly dominant in the midfield. This leads in the 10th minute to the 7th PSV goal. Remco plays himself free and from 20 meters he leaves the Den Bosch goalkeeper with a beautiful shot. After this goal, PSV seems to like it. Niels with a shot that hit the bar and Davy who tapped the ball wide are the closest to a goal. So the final score is 7-2 and this indicates the proportion of today. This puts Den Bosch at a distance in the league (11 points). The closest rival Baronie played equal today so that the margin on the no. 2 is again 6 points. The second round of games can therefore be started with confidence. Next week a friendly. Then to the Schilderswijk, Lange Poten and Het Plein.
