Today we had to face VVV/Helmond Sport , an opponent that should not be underestimated,
partly because they had not yet lost a league game.
PSV started the match energetically, put pressure on their opponents and started to create some chances.
PSV played very well but was sloppy in the finishing and after fifteen minutes of play the score was still 0-0.
VVV/Helmond Sport did not come under the pressure and PSV took the lead through a goal by Taoufiq .
After this PSV continued to attack and were on target, first it was Youandi with a nice goal and shortly afterwards
Kenneth scored the liberating 3 - 0 .
This was also the score at halftime.
In the second half a bit of the same pattern PSV was clearly stronger but kept missing a lot of chances
so the score was not increased.
The last phase of the game was a bit messy due to a large number of substitutions on both sides.
PSV did not manage to score and a slip in the backline allowed VVV/Helmond Sport to come back 3-1.
All in all a good victory that should have been higher though.
