The last game of the preseason. Out at NEC. Gloomy weather, poor pitch comfortless ambience. But none of this should excuse our performance. We were short today. It was not good. NEC wins because of a negligence in our defense, making it 1-0 in an actual 0-0 game. Both are already qualified for the championship pool but the idea that we can play nice and free football is not for either team. Too bad but it is reality.
So not for long. On to the well-deserved Christmas break and on to the championship round. For those joining Jong on training camp to Spain all good luck and take advantage.
The rest I see again in early January for the trip to Göttingen. Just for the record, this is not a vacation trip so get ready and follow the training schedule you were given. There will be a lesson in physical mentality there. Ooh yes and the boarding is only 1 meter 20 high. You can get used to the height at home.
