PSV took the initiative from the kickoff. Yet the first opportunity to score was for Geldrop. Victor reacted attentively and prevented an early deficit. In the sixth minute Yorbe set up a nice attack. Through a smooth combination through the center, he got free in front of the goalie and scored (0-1). A few minutes later the bar prevented a nice lob from extending the lead. This did happen in the twelfth minute. From the edge of the box, Beslan shot the ball over the Geldrop goalkeeper into the goal (0-2). In the 15th minute a free kick just outside the penalty area was turned away by the keeper. Beslan reacted alertly and tapped in the 0-3. Three minutes later the score was further extended. A PSV attack was initially parried by the defense of Geldrop. However, the rebound was again for Beslan (0-4). In the 24th minute, Aboubacar crossed the midfield and put Quinn in scoring position. Quinn struck the goal in the second instance (0-5). A few minutes later it was again Quinn who, surrounded by some Geldrop players, was still able to tap the ball in (0-6). In the last minute of the first half a goal kick by Geldrop was intercepted. With a nice action Thijs played himself free and shot in (0-7).

In the second half the picture was no different than the first half. An attacking PSV that kept the opponent under pressure. However, it took until the 44th minute before PSV became really dangerous again. A shot on goal was turned into a corner by a Geldrop defender. The corner was tapped in by Beslan (0-8). Three minutes later Geldrop had an excellent chance to score after the PSV goalie was outplayed. However, the effort was cleared off the line. A nice free kick in the 59th minute was tapped in by Mees (0-9). This was also the final score.

Halfway through the league, PSV is leader in the 2nd division C. With 33 points from 11 games and 59 goals for and 9 against, we can look back on an excellent first half of the season.
