  1. Match report

Playing two games in one day is too much, but watching two of these games in one day is also a big deal.
Maybe we should ask the KNVB to shorten the matches to just under twenty minutes. Because today it was no longer possible to put attractive football on the mat. That is a pity and certainly because on paper we have perhaps the best selection in the Netherlands, but to play a game for 90 minutes concentrated and as a team is still too much to ask. But let's not complain. So to the match.
The first fifteen minutes are completely in our favor and we should have taken the lead but after 13 minutes it is Albert who puts a free kick into the goal. Just after that Ramon shoots hard at the crossbar. Then Twente takes over the initiative and gets some chances. Yet we go into the break with a 1 - 0 lead. It does not take long and in the second half Twente gets an unnecessary penalty which the number four gratefully accepts. 1-1. Within fifteen minutes of halftime it is 1-2 after a misunderstanding in our rearguard. So we had to chase again. About ten minutes before time Ramon headed in a well taken free kick and the score was 2-2. There was more to come today but it just didn't happen. The points could have easily gone to Twente. All in all a disappointing afternoon with too few points. In the evening at the stadium it was repeated one more time.
Everyone knows that even the darkest hour counts only sixty minutes, but two of these hours in one day is a bit much.
Next Wednesday we will be playing in Wolfsburg for the Youth Champions League so let's hope it works out then.
Have a good trip and good luck.
