Match will be played at Sportpark De Biezen.
After two match days, PSV is still the only team without a point loss in the second division C. It is important to keep it that way today. This had to happen in the away match against FC Dongen. Last week this team won 4-1 against Hardinxveld, so statically this should be possible. Football expert Nico already remarked during the warm-up that he thought these guys were a bit further ahead than the previous opponents, considering the ball handling. At 11:30 a.m. kick-off and the match could begin. Unlike the previous two games, PSV is playing with a 4-man rearguard today. In the early stages, PSV is frequently in possession of the ball with the man more in the rearguard, but can hardly reach the forward midfielders and forwards. This is also to the credit of the opponent who, as they say, "stand well". In addition, they have in the middle the physically strong captain running who takes one step, while we have to take two. Even Yassin was a little boy at this. It takes until the 5th minute before PSV comes somewhat dangerous in front of goal. Arne plays himself well free on the right, but his cross just misses Yassin. The dropped ball goes just past Remco so the first opportunity is defused. As I said, the opponent's midfield and defense are in good shape, making it difficult to get through. In addition, the field is a bit sluggish so the ball does not go around very quickly. So we have to wait and see when there is a gap. It takes until the 20th minute when Rico sees an opening and accelerates from behind and crosses midfield. Joop frees himself well on the edge of the sixteen and is played in well, but the goalkeeper (yes yes yes) saves skillfully. From the 20th minute on, the spaces get a little bigger as the opponent is now also getting a little more tired. In the 25th minute there is a good pass from Tijn to Yassin who is on the edge of the penalty area, but he cannot really control the ball well. There are now more attacks towards the Dongen goal. A minute later, Arne shoots at the bar after a good pass from Koen. Two or three good chances, but still 0-0 on the scoreboard. Just before half time the 1-0 came. Koen was played well from behind and listened to mother Annemiek this week as she often said: "You have to shoot more, they shoot so little. Koen decided to take a shot from about 20 meters, after which the goalkeeper could not control the ball and Joop tapped it in. PSV went into the break with a lead after all. After the break, PSV started strongly and after two minutes they scored. A good pass from Tijn reached Remco, who got rid of his opponent and played Yassin in deep. This opportunity was not missed and the 2-0 was a fact. In the 7th minute it is again a success. A perfect attack. Koen is well played free and looks for the combination with Remco. Joop turns away from his opponents and gets the ball on the run from Koen, after which he scores the 3-0 in a controlled way. The game seemed to be decided. Some nonchalant defending forced a corner. The ball came in front of the goal and was headed in by a Dongen player, making it 3-1. So the first goal is also a fact. The game becomes a bit messier and PSV gets some opportunities, but there are too many sloppiness in this phase so that it is all just not there. In the 25th minute Rico crosses again from behind and finds the well-rung Yassin, who skillfully makes it 4-1 and puts the game in a final lock. In the last minute there is a good pass from Sem after a nice rush by Remco, but Yasin just does not get the ball well, so 4-1 becomes the final score.
PSV remains leading with 9 out of 3 and next week we have a real topper when the number 2 Willem II comes to the Herdgang.
