    Wind game breaker in Rotterdam

Saturday saw another important match against Sparta Rotterdam. After last Wednesday's slip-up, where PSV O19 were surprisingly eliminated in the cup by VVV-Venlo O19, they had to win to still play a role in the battle for the championship.

In the seventh minute it is Mathias Kjolo who comes through well from the left, his cross to Damian Timan is on but, only his placed ball went just past the goal. PSV is a lot stronger than Sparta and is close to the 1-0 through Koen Oostenbrink in the thirteenth minute. But he aimed just wide on a pass from Nigel Thomas. Coach Van Nistelrooy's team continued to create chances and that resulted in the deserved lead. Dennis Vos rounded off a nice combination with Kjolo to make it 0-1 at halftime.

In the second half, the wind took its toll on the play of both teams. The game certainly didn't get any better and the chances could only be counted on one hand. It looked like PSV were taking the three important points back to Eindhoven. But in the 84th minute, PSV gave away a little too much space and a Spartan was able to hit a cross. This ball landed on the head of an attacker from the Rotterdammers. To everyone's surprise, this ball blew in at the far post, putting the final score of 1-1 on the board. So the O19 did not have a great week. The next game is in two weeks because of the international week. Then Ruud van Nistelrooy's men will play again in Rotterdam, this time against Feyenoord.

    Line-up PSV O19:
Van Dorp, Kuisch (60/Sambo), Zeegers, Kreekels, Vos, Oostenbrink, Thomas (77/Madueke), Kjolo, Vertessen (46/Daniëls), Timan, Antonisse.
