The report
ADO Den Haag was the second opponent in the league for PSV O14 on Saturday. After a stiff start by PSV, as the match progressed it became clear that PSV had much more qualities than the guests from The Hague. For PSV Jason van Duiven was the big man today, with a hat-trick as captain he set a good example for the rest of his team. With a 6-1 victory, the second game of the competition was also won.
After the referee whistled for the start of the match, it was ADO Den Haag that started very surprisingly. The guests from The Hague put very high pressure, were very fierce on the ball and with this it seemed that they surprised PSV. Not surprisingly, ADO Den Haag opened the scoring. A distance shot, which hit the bar at first, went in on the rebound. A deficit for PSV O14. PSV came much better into their own game after this setback. Six minutes later the score was equalized again. Emir Bars managed to get the ball to Jason van Duiven, who easily passed the goalkeeper. PSV took the lead even before the halftime signal. Tim van den Heuvel was able to get the ball to Jason, who headed in his second goal of the match. ADO Den Haag's last trick was also before halftime. The physically very strong ADO striker went 1-on-1 with PSV goalkeeper Tijn Smolenaars. Tijn got out of his goal in time and by narrowing his goal well, managed to prevent a goal.
After halftime, ADO's resistance was broken though. PSV played very well and ran out to a big win. Tim scored from a perfect cross from Renzo Tytens. Emir Bars curled the ball beautifully into the goal on a pass from Tim. Jason controlled the ball he received from Emir and scored his third of the day. In the last minute of the match Khaled Razak put the 6-1 on the scoreboard.
So a good win for PSV, especially when you know that three players from the O13 played along. But for these guys the step to a higher team was no problem, and they adapted easily. Next week no league football for PSV O14, but a friendly match. The following week they will travel to Feyenoord, for the remainder of the competition.
