First of all everyone best wishes for 2016.
The goal has been achieved. The championship round after the winter break. Next goal as long as possible to compete for the championship and maybe, just maybe that last one. And then you start the first game with an away game. Then you see immediately that the opponent does everything to get you out of your rhythm and you play on a field that has the minimum approved KNVB dimensions while next to it there is a field free with the correct dimensions for the national league. Then there is a further problem with the goal nets which have holes in them according to the referee. But according to the rule of law (and I have to work with that from time to time) there are always holes in a net because otherwise it is not a net. But these are all side issues that have nothing to do with winning or losing. It was cold. Yes it was but also that doesn't matter. Willem II showed more aggression and work ethic in the game than we did. From our side it was all just barely. And today it was just not. Before halftime Willem II took advantage of our inattention twice and twice the number nine was in place and put us behind. A minute before halftime Maarten can almost do something back with a backward header but the goalkeeper saves. Then into the break and put the finishing touches to it.
Immediately after halftime in minute 46 it is again Willem II who puts the dot on the i and it is 3 - 0.
There is no consultation, no line and no teamwork to make it difficult for Willem II. Only in the 88th minute the Willem II goalkeeper does not manage to turn a shot by Arnaut and through his hands the ball goes into the goal.
The championship pool has begun. That means there are 14 finals to play. After today there are now 13 left and if we do win these 13 we will come a long way in the race to the bowl.
Next week another final at home against Feyenoord.
    Men good luck.
And again repeat: without valleys you have no peaks.
