    The report

The decisions have been made in our league, the championship pool has been made. Saturday the away match against PEC was on the program. A match for the king's sake as they say, but the bench of our opponent thought otherwise. PSV had to deal with Atlético Madrid-like conditions. And this was also visible on the field. Instead of training youth players, it became a match with struggle and a lot of aggression and very unstructured football back and forth. Unfortunately, you couldn't really get hot from this match, which really should have been possible given the circumstances.

After seven minutes, it was PEC who punished hesitant action by our rearguard and shot the 1-0. The rest remained messy and, after a good push, only Djenario came close to scoring, but his effort was cleared off the line by a PEC defender. Then it would have to happen after halftime.

Two minutes into the second half it was Djenario again who put the 1-1 on the board. We had to push on and after an hour of play it was Milan who punished a defensive error and made the deserved 1-2. From that moment on it became a lot quieter on the other bench. But this did not last long, because shortly after the lead PEC equalized again with a long-distance shot. We have to work on that after the winter break. Too many goals against from distance shots and stationary situations.

It fumbled some more from both sides and a riot just before time was the only moment that got the players hot for a while, but then we could still go to the warm locker room and the warm bus for the return trip. Next Tuesday the final trip to Rotterdam to finish the first half of the season against Excelsior.

    Setup:
Janssen, Puts, Matuta, Lonwijk, Seelt, Putters (75/Arts), Beumer, Nassoh (41/Jimenez), Daniels, Antonisse, Dorenbosch (41/Van de Riet).
