PSV started the match strongly, which resulted in the first corner after only two minutes. The corner was turned away and in the counter attack Brabant United had an immediate goal opportunity. After this hectic start PSV tried to take control of the game. However, PSV played in a too low tempo which did not make it very difficult for the visitors. On the other hand, the visitors were able to become dangerous on several occasions. In the 21st minute, the visitors took the lead after an unnecessarily given away corner. The corner was headed in hard by the striker of the visitors, 0-1. The visitors could not enjoy the lead for long, because one minute later Mohamed beat the goalkeeper with a free kick from 25 meters, 1-1. Five minutes before halftime, PSV had a good chance to take the lead. Dyon played a great ball into Milan, who got free in front of the goalie, but his effort was blocked by the keeper.
PSV started the second half strongly and after two minutes the home team took the lead. A cross from Sven was tapped in by Mylan, 2-1. Right after that PSV had a good chance to extend the lead but the nicely set up attack was not well played. PSV now had more control of the game although PSV had to stay alert to the counter of the visitors. In the 46th minute, a counter by the visitors resulted in the equalizer. The striker of Brabant United easily ran through the PSV defense, rounded the goalkeeper and tapped in the equalizer. PSV did not let this get them off the hook and started playing faster. In the 62nd minute this resulted in another lead. After a throw-in by Jesse, Mylian picked up the ball. His cross was tapped in by the incoming Dyon, 3-2. Brabant United were unable to give PSV any more trouble and kept the three points in Eindhoven.
