After Tuesday's 7-3 win over the Tokyo squad, in which the second half in particular was enjoyable at times, another league game is on the schedule today. Opponent today is Baronie who occupy a shared second position in the league table, three points behind leaders PSV. Today again the opponent has the impression that there are boys who are two heads taller than ours. PSV opted for a three-man rearguard with the aim of having one more man in midfield. In contrast to Geldrop last week, Baronie also uses the tactic of collapsing in on their own half and countering from there. This leads to success for Baronie as early as the second minute. After losing the ball deep in the opponent's half, Baronie quickly converted and an off-the-book counter put PSV 1-0 behind. PSV tries to make the game, but keeps running into a wall about 25 meters from the opponent's goal. PSV has not yet recovered from the 1st goal or after 5 minutes the ball is in the net again and PSV is facing a 2-0 deficit. Moments later, PSV got away with another corner kick. Despite the 2-0 deficit, PSV remained calm and kept looking for Davy from the back to distribute the game. After all, Tuesday also turned a 1-3 deficit into a victory. After fifteen minutes, PSV seems to get better into the match. The spaces get a bit bigger so that you don't get into duels. In the duels usually the strength lies with the opponent, with which they can exploit their year's lead. After Yasin was initially whistled back for offside, the tying goal came in the 20th minute. A clever action by Arne puts Yasin free in front of the goalkeeper and he scores the 2-1. Here hope is exhausted. In the 22nd minute it could have been equal again, when a long ball from Tijn through the middle puts Yasin free in front of the goalkeeper. However this time the ball goes on the wrong side of the post. PSV keeps up the pressure on the opponent's goal and the counters are nipped in the bud in time. PSV thought they would get a corner kick before the break, but the referee did not let them take it, so PSV went into the break 2-1 behind. In the second half, PSV goes in search of the equalizer. Barony retreats to their own half. In the 7th minute the equalizer is a fact. Yasin is served well in the 16 meters by Remco. Yasin uses his body to get free and through the corner of his eye he sees Benji next to him. He could not miss and shot the 2-2. In the 12th minute, PSV took the lead. A kick from Edson could be extended by Arne's big toe, allowing Yasin to head for the Baronie goal. Yasin is slightly unbalanced when outplaying the goalkeeper and the referee decides to award a penalty kick. The penalty kick was initially blocked, then the rebound was for Davy, who scored the 3-2 in a controlled manner. Now Barony must come back to make up the deficit. PSV slumped a bit, and seemed to have things under control at the back, although they had to be careful. Five minutes before time, Edson has to pull out all the stops when a Baronie attacker appears in front of him after a long ball. A minute later, PSV decided the game definitively. Rico sends Yassin away from behind and after he pounces on the goalkeeper, Remco shoots in the rebound. The Barony is snapped and in the remaining time the score is increased by 2x Yasin and 1x Greg to a flattered 7-2.
