Before the PSV D1 match against NAC D1, PSV D1 technical trainer Pepijn Lijnders, who has now left for FC Porto, was thanked by the boys of PSV D1 for all the technical training and the wise lessons he has given our boys in recent years. We wish Pepijn lots of success in Portugal and we hope to see him at De Hergang on a regular basis.
PSV D1 started strongly against a defensively-minded NAC D1. Endy Opoku Bernadina was played in well and he was constantly threatening the NAC goal. In the fifteenth minute, Endy was again well played in by Jorrit Hendrix and this time Endy completed this nice attack. Shortly after, Michael Maria played himself free on the left side of the pitch and delivered a ditto cross from which Endy scored the 2-0 with his head.
After halftime NAC did try to play more attacking, but our defense led by Sam Schuite stood like a house, preventing NAC from creating one real chance for a counter goal.
PSV were unable to make a fist in the second half, so the 2-0 score remained unchanged.
Players, coach, staff and caretaker Claudia (allias The Beast) congratulations with this third win out of three games.
Next week good luck against Willem II away (always tricky...).
