PSV O14 qualifies convincingly for championship pool

Saturday was the final round of play in the O14 fall league. In order to play in the champions' pool again after the winter break, there were still several options for PSV O14. Even losing was one of these, then goal difference and the like had to be considered. However, the assignment was brought very simply to the player group. Win, no more and no less. After the match, it was clear that the players' group understood trainer Mourad el Idrissi well. They showed everyone that they can play good football, work, fight and everything necessary to get a result, they never gave opponent Sparta the belief that there was anything to gain in Eindhoven. After the 8-0 victory, players and staff can enjoy a few weeks of well-deserved rest and then get back to performing in the championship pool.

After only two minutes of play, it was already on target. Onesime Zimuangana got the ball at his feet and with a bit of luck managed to score. A few minutes later it was again Onesime who had a chance, but this time the Sparta goalkeeper managed to save well. In the fourteenth minute, it was Onesime who saw two goal attempts turned away. The ball then came to Eus Waayers, this one not going for his own gain, but neatly laid the ball off at the feet of Nicolas Verkooijen. Nicolas took a devastating shot low to the ground, to which the goalkeeper had no answer: 2-0. Defender Thijs Jansen reported in the 21st minute in the opponent's penalty area, he was actually unstoppable and was stopped with a foul, penalty. Nicolas took responsibility, and scored with a "panenka". With this it was clear how strong the PSV'ers felt. Eus tried again with a shot, but again there was the well-keeping Sparta goalie. In the 30th minute Onesime passed everyone on speed and power along the sideline, at the back line he kept the overview and put the ball ready for Eus who could easily tap in the 4-0.

After halftime, PSV continued where they left off, dominating on the pitch. In the 45th minute Jordy Bawuah delivered a good cross, Onesime with the good control turned free and shot the 5-0. A few minutes later it was Raf van de Riet who delivered a good cross. Again it was Onesime who managed to score, and with the 6-0 also scored his hat-trick. In the 55th minute it was again Raf who now from a free kick brought the ball perfectly in front of the goal. Zaid El Bakalli, not known for his head power, was able to head the ball well this time, putting the 7-0 on the scoreboard. A few minutes later Nicolas also scored his hat-trick after a good cross from Rodin Oesterholt he could score the 8-0.

On the face of it an easy victory, but it wasn't all that simple The boys knew what they had to do to be able to have the necessary resistance after the winter break as well. The willpower and determination in the team brought about this result because everyone was aware of what was needed. Now a few weeks of wonderful rest and on January 11 in the new year they will resume the competition series. One will then play a tournament at AZ to get ready for the new competition.
