In order not to lose touch with the E1 in the rankings, it was imperative to win today. This morning's opponent was the number one penultimate team UNA. A team with great physical power. At 11.30 a.m. referee Paul whistled for the start of the match. Both teams started the game a bit hesitant. The first danger came from the home team. After Sem had turned free in the second minute, he tried to surprise the goalkeeper with a placed shot. Unfortunately, his effort did not hit the target. Barely a minute later Niels was allowed to take a corner on the right side of the pitch. The ball went past everyone and ended up on the post. Moments later another corner from Niels was dangerous. Now it was Gregory who hit the crossbar with a nice header. The E2 clearly had the game in hand now and it was just waiting for a goal. It came in the 7th minute. In midfield Benjamin shook off three opponents, after which he had the overview and saw Gregory standing free. With a tight slide he outsmarted the goalkeeper. 1-0. UNA had barely recovered from this setback when the 2-0 was already on the scoreboard. From the left side of the pitch it was Niels who scored. PSV continued to play well forward, with lots of danger from the sides. A cross by Sem from the right came to Joey, who struck without hesitation. Unfortunately he hit the side netting. Halfway through the first half it was Niels again who tried his luck from distance. Just over the halfway line he took a devastating shot. Via the underside of the crossbar he shot the 3-0. After 18 minutes Kyan had to intervene for the first time. He intercepted the long ball well before UNA could become dangerous. The following play was the start of the best attack of the first half. It was Tijn who crossed the field from behind, with a cross he reached Yassin. Who had come in well, but he too saw his shot end up in the side netting. It remained one-way traffic. A shot by Tijn went just over and an effort by Niels, after good preparation by Gregory on the left, went just wide. On the stroke of half time the goal was finally scored. On the right Tijn went well. His cross just missed Sem, but Gregory was still there and he shot his second and PSV's fourth. After halftime UNA defended more like a block and PSV found it harder to get through. This caused the home club to try a bit more often with distance shots. Unfortunately for them it was not as easy as before the break. Now it was either the bar or the post or the goalkeeper who stood in the way of a goal. The same happened in the 28th minute. A free kick by Tijn was well turned by the goalkeeper, the rebound was for Gregory. His effort, however, went wide. A few minutes later Tijn's shot hit the crossbar. In the same minute it was Joey who now found Yassin on the left side of the pitch. Again the goalkeeper was in the right corner. In contrast to the first half, UNA now sometimes came out dangerously. Just like that ten minutes into the second half. Kyan managed to keep his goal clean with a great save. Two minutes later he too was unable to save the UNA goal. 4-1. PSV seemed upset for a moment, but fortunately it was of short duration. A triangle between Tijn, Yassin and Joey was well turned away by the goalkeeper. Benjamin's shot (after another nice action by Joey) was also tipped out of his goal. And if the goalkeeper was not in the way, it was the bar. The same happened in the 50th minute. Joey lashed out from the edge of the box, but his shot hit the bar. Also in injury time, Joey hit the bar again. Thus the match ended in a 4-1 score and another 3 points could be added to the total.
