The report
PSV played the topper against Feyenoord's peers on Saturday. In an entertaining match, PSV pulled out the win before halftime with two goals, a third goal disallowed for offside when a free kick by Mohamed was turned in too early.
PSV radiated danger in the first half. Already in the fourth minute Milan had the 1-0 on his shoe when Jayden sent him alone to the goalkeeper after an excellent move. He managed to save the ball. A couple of chances later he was unable to save when Manu headed in a corner from the right by Mohamed at the first post, 1-0. The game was 26 minutes old. Until then Feyenoord had only been in danger from a free kick that went just wide and a scrimmage in front of goal in which Peter saved the ball. Less than five minutes after the 1-0, Mo doubled the score with a fantastic goal. From about 30 meters to the left of the goal he took the ball full on his slipper which hit the top right corner like a grenade, 2-0. Although PSV actually should have gone into the break with 3-0 - Jeremy was sent off by Mo alone towards the goalkeeper but shot just wide - a very comfortable halftime score.
PSV were to blame for Feyenoord scoring the tying goal soon after halftime. In the 46th minute, Feyenoord threw the ball with a long cross into Peter's penalty area, who hesitated to intervene and saw Feyenoord's right-wing striker head in for the 2-1. From then on, a messy game ensued with the game going up and down and both teams going for a goal. It took until deep into injury time in the nervous final stages for PSV to take the deserved 3-1 away from Feyenoord. Milan found the ball at his feet on the edge of the penalty area, headed towards the goalkeeper but the keeper stopped his effort. Jeremy was then quick to tap the ball in, 3-1. A deserved victory for the O16.
