PSV did not start the match well. Ball loss in midfield led to a quick breakaway by Inter, resulting in A1 trailing 1-0 after only two minutes.
The team recovered, but the build-up was too slow so there was ball possession, but hardly any chances. On the stroke of halftime Inter again came through dangerously, making it 2-0 at halftime.
A1 started the second half well. Already after a few minutes there was a free kick about 30 meters from the goal. Ousama Tannane put himself behind the ball and shot straight into the cross.
PSV regained courage and started to play more freely, which resulted in some good chances. When official playing time was already over, the goalkeeper misjudged a cross and Evio van Overbeek was able to work the ball into the goal. PSV was satisfied with a draw, but Inter was not. They squeezed out one last attack and in the very last second that led to the winning goal for Inter.
