The game against ADO no longer really mattered as ADO could not avoid relegation after last week's defeat and PSV lost the third spot after the (unnecessary) loss against NAC.
On a short mowed (but too small) pitch, the game was somewhat messy. This also had to do with the condition of the field. The game was played in midfield and the chances were small but at least there were chances to score. ADO played the first half mainly with the wind at their backs. ADO was also dangerous from stationary situations such as a free kick and a corner where the ball went just wide both times. PSV's problem was that the last pass was not always optimal. In the 42nd minute it was Tufan (played a good game) who crossed the ball and Anthony was able to score. 0 - 1 and half time. After the restart we had the wind with us but it was ADO who gave us the wind in front and within fifteen minutes of the rest the score was 2 - 1 for ADO. In this period PSV certainly did not play their best football. After ADO's lead some players picked it up again and it was Anthony again who scored the 2 - 2 from a nice cross from Jurgen. We had come for the full win and so we had to push on. There were chances but also at the other end there were chances for ADO. Yet it was Elvio who put Gianluca in position with a nice through ball and he managed to secure the deserved win for us. A long and hard season (also for the coaching staff) is over. Next week we will return to The Hague for the international tournament and after that we will close the season during the Ascension weekend in Terborg at the well-known tournament there.
On behalf of the players and staff I would like to wish Dennis a speedy recovery from his injury in Düsseldorf. See you next week.
And one more thing for the staff: without valleys you can't enjoy the peaks.
