Today the home match against FC utrecht was on the program. In the opening phase PSV had the better of the game and got the bigger chances. In the 25th minute this resulted in a shot on the post by Dani after a brilliant solo by Mathijs who put Dani in position with a cross. PSV made it difficult for themselves and FC Utrecht could also become dangerous a couple of times from a counter or the long ball. These chances did not go in either and at halftime the score was still the same as it started: 0-0. In the 7th minute after halftime PSV already became dangerous, Shurandy had a good cross from which Joost could become dangerous with a header that the goalkeeper only really got hold of in the second instance. In the 20th minute after halftime a phase started in which PSV got better and noticed that there was more to come. This resulted in a very good attack that started with Jayden who played Mathijs in and through a good handball ended up with Mo who took a shot and headed in. Unfortunately the goal was disallowed because of offside. 2 minutes later Shurandy stormed up again and had another good cross which Jayden headed just over. As PSV applied more pressure Utrecht created some space in the back and Utrecht became dangerous a couple of times. In injury time Utrecht went on the attack with an overtime but a very good intervention by Lars who blocked a shot with a tackle kept it 0-0. PSV did everything they could to get a win but the match ended in a deserved draw.
