  1. Match report

The w-up today gave a bad omen, already there it was visible that today the focus was not there, why remains a mystery, because everything was perfect. A great field, nice weather so everything was there for a great football match.
From the kick-off the play was not good, two sides showing fight but very often making the wrong choices on the field. It remains difficult for this group to play simple football, too often they look for the most difficult solution while there are easier choices. Both sides get small chances in the first half. A shot from about 25 meters from Mylian falls over the goalkeeper 1-0 in the 16th minute. Dylan comes even closer with a nice distance shot, but the ball goes just wide. In the last minute there is a nice attack from the side, Martijn delivers a nice cross, which is missed by everyone, Joey passes the ball again from the other side, which is worked over the goal by Martijn. Immediately after this, the referee whistles for half-time.
At halftime the players themselves said they were not satisfied with the game. This promises a lot for the second half.
The start of the second half is good, 3 minutes after the restart Joep gives a nice ball to Martijn, who half off balance still manages to get the ball into the net 2-0. After recovering the ball, Nassim played a nice ball into the deep, but the Helmond defense was also quick and could only just clear the ball. After 5 minutes of good play from PSV side they fall back into the game of the 1st half. In the 13th minute after the break, Helmond sport gets a free kick 20 meters in front of the goal. Despite Kevin hitting the ball it went into the goal 2-1. Helmond sport now got the belief that there was more to come in Eindhoven today. After a nice attack by HS they score the deserved equalizer in the 49 minute. 2-2. With 6 minutes to play the referee makes his only mistake today and blows the whistle, 6 minutes too early. Both trainers think it is okay so the 2-2 stays on the scoreboard. A moderate match for the boys of PSV under 12 today. Coach Kevin says that the footage will be studied this week by the whole group together, and hopes that the players themselves can see what went right and what went wrong. Next week the away game to VVV Venlo awaits, and we assume that things will be better then.
