On a drizzly Saturday morning, F1 entered for its first league home match against Best Vooruit.
Throughout the match F1 had a lot of trouble with the very slippery artificial turf field. As a result, the beautiful combination football did not quite come to fruition.
Nevertheless, from the start it was a rush towards the Best Vooruit goal and it was Arne again who managed to find the first hole in the crowded defense. Controlled he shot the 1-0. Because the defense did not give away any chances, the team patiently waited for more goals, and they came.
Gregory scored his first league goal for PSV after finishing a nice combination with Joop. This goal apparently tasted like more, because the same Gregory was attentive when the goalkeeper failed to hold a shot by birthday boy Joey: 3-0.
Just before halftime, Tijn crowned a fine solo from behind, followed by a nice combination with Arne and Brent with the most beautiful goal of the morning: 4-0
In the second half, some carelessness crept into PSV's play. Loss of ball at the back was firmly shot behind Merijn into the short corner: 4-1.
PSV did not let it get much further and without playing brilliantly themselves, a number of goals were scored. It was especially Joop who asserted himself. First he blocked a kick from the goalkeeper, after which the ball fortunately rolled into the goal. Then he beat the defenders at full speed and neatly rounded the goalkeeper. Finally, he completed the hat trick by finishing off an attack in which Joey claimed the lead: 7-1.
The always diligent Brian crowns his strong game with PSV's final goal: 8-1.
