    Nice win in Amsterdam



    On Saturday the difficult, but also beautiful match was scheduled in Amsterdam against Ajax. The Ajax players started the match strongly, created a number of opportunities in the first ten minutes, but did not score. Then PSV got better in the match and had a great chance in the eleventh minute through Shurandy Sambo, who placed the ball over the goal after the Ajax goalkeeper let go of a free kick from Noni Madueke. In the sixteenth minute Maxime Delanghe kicked the ball over the opponent's half, the fast Yorbe Vertessen entered the sixteen meter and took a shot, but the ball went over the back line via the goalkeeper and the post. The Eindhoven team had a number of counter opportunities, but unfortunately they were not executed perfectly and the score remained 0-0 after 25 minutes. John Heitinga's team did not sit still either and also created quite a few chances, but the excellent keeper Delanghe kept his goal clean with a number of fine saves. So we rested with a 0-0 score.

    The second half began again as spectacularly as the first. The game undulated up and down and it is Djenairo Daniëls who in the 58th minute forgot to punish a wrong back-pass by an Ajax defender. In the 65th minute Andrew Mendonca gave a beautiful cross pass to Nigel Thomas, who dribbled inside and shot the deserved 0-1. Ajax applied some pressure, but good defense and good goalkeeping by the PSV defense prevented the team from being in any real danger. The score could have been even higher had Madueke completed a nice attack, but his shot hit the post. Thus Ruud van Nistelrooy's team took the three points back to Eindhoven and it will be four more beautiful finals, because with this victory everything is still possible in the league.

    PSV O19's next match is on Saturday, May 4 at 2 p.m. against NAC Breda.
