Match report:
PSV played today against low-fly Helmond Sport D1 (VVV/Helmond Sport D2). For this opponent there was not so much at stake.
PSV played reasonable to good football on a bad pitch. PSV easily found the free man and got chances. But, the goal was not (yet) on target, unlike Helmond Sport. From 2 attacks and due to negligence on the side of PSV's defense, Helmond Sport actually scored twice in a row. Was a stunt in the making here? PSV, not entirely impressed by these setbacks, produced the deserved tying goal in injury time of the 1st half. By the way, for the statisticians among us, PSV D1 manages to score remarkably often this year in the last 5 minutes before half-time, around the 45th minute and in the last 5 minutes before the final whistle. A bit on the "German" side? So, PSV D1 is confident enough in that respect and remains patient at all times. This was also the case against Helmond Sport. The opponent had no more chances in the 2nd game. PSV turned the tables and deservedly took home the all-important 3 points.
