Today one of the leaders comes to the Herdgang: AJAX. Always tricky of course but we are keen to get a good result today.
After a short but firm meeting the dots were put on the i's and crosses. The coach wants more experience, passion and venom in the game.
We will see that today. Already after three minutes it is Dante who leaves the AJAX goalkeeper defenseless with a great kick and we are ahead. Everything is reflected in the game. Everything we discussed beforehand. AJAX cannot get a grip on us. We are better on all fronts and AJAX (this week also advanced to the eighth final of the Youth League) was hopeless. After about half an hour Karim has a great cross in his legs and the ball reaches Matthias and the 2 - 0 is a fact. We continue to dominate and it is tasty in the stands. We go into halftime with this score. We really just want to turn even and continue but we have to spend the break inside. After halftime we continue on the same footing. After ten minutes it is Matthias who hits the post and leaves the score as it is, but after an hour of play it is Sam, who finally sees his hard work rewarded, who sends an Amsterdam defender into the woods (he did get out of the way, by the way) and shoots the three-zero with skill. But our hunger is not yet satisfied.
We go on and on. There is no end to the energy. There are more and more chances because the field is getting bigger, as the saying goes. Ten minutes before the end it is again Sam who puts the icing on the cake and after a beautiful played attack, on the larger field, puts the 4 - 0 final score on the board.
Plenty of passion from everyone. Everyone is enjoying, the players, the staff, the public and also the PSV managers present.
